MASTERTON CLUB. Local golfers were favoured with line weather for the opening of the season, on Saturday afternoon. Afternoon tea was kindly provided by the President t'Mr H. G. Williams) and Mrs Williams. The following were the best cards for the mixed foursome medal handicap, played over 12 holes:— Miss Holmes and A. B. Lawrence, handicap 4, nett 59; Miss E. Robieson and E. P.. Fenton, 4, 59 ; Miss Bennett and W. W. Gabites, 16, 59; Miss J. Robieson and N. H. James, 2, GO; Mrs G. C. Williams and G. C. Williams, 4, 60; Mrs N. H. James and A. D. Gillies, 10, 61. The plnv off was won by Miss Holmes and A. B. Lawrence.
