LAYING THE FOUNDATION ■ STONE. . .

(By Telegraph—Fress Association.) \ WELLINGTON, Last Night. , The foundation stone of the new Parliamentary Buildings in Wellington was laid on Saturday afternoon by His Excellency the Governor, in the presence of a large number of citizens. ■ Speeches were made by His Excellency, —-who advised the people to "build well; and build generously"—i Sir Joseph Ward, and tlie Hon. R. McKenzie. Cheers were given for the Governor, Sir josepjh Ward and Lady Ward.
