MASTERTON STOCK SALE.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Soliway stock sale as follows: A full yarding of all classes of stock was offered to a large attendance of buyers. Small lanvbs and inferior ewes were hard to sell, but better sorts i ' were in good demand and prices were well maintained. With the exception of two pens of aged ewes, wo had a total clearance at auction. A small , entry of cattlo came forward. A nice j line of 50 speyed cows and heifers in forward condition were offered on account of Mr H. Hume, Aohanga, and i realised £o per head. Following is a list of prices : —Snva 11 lambs, 3s Id to ; 4s 6d; medium black lambs, to 6s 3d; woolly lambs, 8s sd; cull ewes, 4s to 4s 4d; f.m. ewes, 7s 9d to 8s 6d; s.m. ewes, 10s to 10s 2d; 2-tooth ewes, . medium, 10s lid to lis ; 2-tooth wethers, 12s od; rams, jgn to ljgns. Empty heifers, £3 lis ; 2J-year steers, £4 7s 6d; forward speyed cows and heifers, £5. ' f
