MASTivRTON WOOL AND SKIX SALES. Messrs Balgety ai:d Co., Ltd., report having held their usual monthly wool and skin sale yesterday, when they offered a fair entry of wool, skins and hides. The attendance of 'buyers was not quite up to the average. We quote: —Crossbred wool, 7d ; 'bellies and pieces, 3Jd to Ikl; seedy lambs, 3id; dead wool, 7-Jd. Tallow, 20s; rough fat. los. Crossbred sheepskins, up to Oijd; lambs skins, to Gid ; hogget -skins, from Id to lid: calf skins, from o-i-d to S-Jd ; bull hides, od; cow hides, Gijd.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follous.— Our usual periodical sale was held yesterday, and good catalogues were submitted to a good attendance of buyers. Owing to the unsettled state of the London marketprices showed a slight drop from last sale prices. Hides, however, were higher, by id to Id. Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., report: —We held our monthly sale to-day, when wo offered 20 hales of wool, 1200 i sheepskins, 70 hides and a quantity | of horsehair, tallow and rabbitskins. , There was the usual attendance of j buyers, and the prices bid for all , kinds cf produce were well up to current market values. * We quote: — Wool: Fine crossbred, 7£d to 8d; | medium and coarso crossbred, 7d to ; 7i-d; dead wool, 7d to 7£d; lambs, 6-Jd 1 to 7sd; locks and pieces, 3d to s£d. The Wairarapa Fanners' Co-opera-tive Association, Ltd., report as follows: —We held our monthly isafle of wool, sheepskins, and hides yesterday, when we offered to a representative attendance of huyers 10 bales of wool, 50 bags of wool, about 1000 sheepskins and pelts, and a quantity of hides and calfskins. Wool: Fleece, 7d to BJd-; laraibs, 7d to 7|d; fleece log stained, 6£d; dead, s§d to 7d; pieces, 4id to s£d; lambs, crutehings, s£d ; looks and pieces, 4sd; black, sgd; locks, 3|d. Sheepskins: Crossbred, "6|d; dead, 41-d to'Sid; broken,, 4Jd; hoggets, 4|d to shorts, 3d to 41d; lambs, sfd; black, pelts, 3d to 4d ; crossbred damp, each,. ss; shorts damp, each, 2s 3d. J MASTERTON STOCK SALE. Messrs James Macintosh and Co. report having held their usual weekly sale in their Waipoua yards yesterdiy, when they offered a yarding of sheep and cattle as advertised, which met with very keen competition throughout, although a line of 4-tooth ewes went out unsold. The cattle entry met with good competition throughout;, and we can report a clearance at i.ocl prices. Quotations are as follow : Fat ewes, 12s; forward ewes, 9u to 10s Id ; 2-tooth wethers, 12s Id ; f .m. ewes, 7s to 7s Id; woolly lambs, 7s 7d to 8s

We were unable to make a clearance, owing to the inferior quality of several lines. Breeding ewes, sound and good conditioned, made 9s Gd to 12s; 2tooth ewes, according to class, 10s to 12s; medium ewes, 7s to 8s; besb woolly lambs, 9s; shorn, 5s Gd to Gs; culls, 4s. A pen of good-conditioner] small wethers made 12s. A few odd rams changed hands. Southdowns, 1 to 1-Jgns. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—We had a heavy yardbig of sheep and a moderate one of cattle, and have to report a successful sale, everything being disposed of with tho exception of two pens of sheep.
