GISBORNE, Last Night. , The conference in connection with the Gisborne waterside workers' demands resulted in an amicable settlement. , ' The rate of pay on general cargo and coal will be Is 6d per hour ordinary time and 2s 6d overtime. Tlie rates of handling frozen meat have also been increased. ■.■ . t ■ ■ . The agreement is to come into operation on April lst, the duration to be three' years.
