RULES AND CONDITIONS. 1. The athletic events will be run under the rules of the New Zealand Athletic Association. 2. Nominations close with the Secretaries oni Monday, March 18th, at 8 p.m. . 3. Competitors in the athletic events must send in a list of performances for tie past two years. If no ■wins for two years, marks of starts from previous events must be stated. 4. Acoeptanoes and entrance fees for other events close on the ground twenty minutes before each event. 6. No nominations will be accepted without the-nomination fees. 6. Protests must be lodged with the secretary ten minutes after the race, accompanied by a fee of 2s 6d, which will be forfeited if the objections are considered frivolouß. Horse events 7. The committee reserve the right to postpone the sports if the weather is unfavourable. 8. No first priz-B wiH be given unless there are three starters; no second prize unless five &tarters. # 9. Note.— All horses nominating the district at leas* two months prior to the daW of the sports. They must also be the property of bona fide residents of the district, otherwise they will be disqualified. 10. The committee reserve the right to alter the order in which the events W H.%L U Rules of the N.Z. Athletic and Cycling Union, providing the maximum nomination and acceptance fees of 5 per cent, on total .prize monev, trill be observed, anything in the above programme notwithstanding. Any fees exceeding that percentage will be returned. 12. In horse events (handicaps), owners must send the past two years' performances (if any), and breeding (if possible.)
