CHARITABLE AID COMMITTEE
MONTHLY MEETING. A meeting of the Charitable Aid Committee was held in the Board's office at Masterton at 10.30 o'clock yesterday morning. There were present, — Messrs J. B. Keith (chairman), "W. Fisher, D. J. Cameron, H. J. 'O'Leary, Jas. Miller, W. Morris" and Mrs Cairns. Apologies for absence were received on behalf of Messrs J. O. Ewington and M. J. H. Jackson. The Treasurer reported receipts amounting to £249 19s 3d, and expenditure £7l 13s. - The oav sheet for the month, amounting to £29 17s -el,-in respect of -charitable aid, and to £22 4s 4s on account of the Renall-Solway Home, was passed for payment. The list of recipients of charitable *aid was discussed, and grants were renewed for the ensuing month. An application for admission to the 'Solway Home was received, and the matter left in the hands of the chairman and secretary, with power to act when satisfactory reports in respect of the anplication are at hand. The estimates of the requirements of the Charitable- Aid Committee for the ensuing year were adopted for ■presentation, to the .Wairarapa Hospital and Charitable Aid Board.
