HEW ZEALAND FORECAST (By Telegraph—Press Association.) . WELLINGTON, Last NightThe Rev. D. 0. Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this evening issued the following report:— The barometer rose everywhere on Saturday, .but an area of low pressure passed southward of Now Zealand on Sunday night, causing heavy rain in Otago and Southland. Cool and changeable weather h ( as been experieii j ceu generally, with' moderate to strong south-westerly winds predominating. Present indications are for rain and boisterous weather in the northern districts, with high westerly winds and a falling barometer elsewhere. Cold, cloudy and unsettled weather will probably continue for a time, with strong •outherlv and south-easterly winds, and a further rise'in the barometer is to be expected.
