Nominations close with the Secretaries om Monday, March 18th, at 8 p.m. 3. Competitors in the athletio events must send in a list of performances for the past two years. If no wins for two years, marks of starts from previous events must be stated. 4. Acceptances and entrance fees for other events close on the ground twenty minutes before each event. 6. No nominations will be accepted without the nomination fees. 6. Protests must be lodged with the secretary ten minutes after the race, accompanied by a fee of 2s 6d, which will be forfeited if the objections are considered frivolous. Horse events 7. The committee reserve the right to postpone the .sports if the weather is unfavourable. 8. No first prize will be given unless there are three starters; no second prize unless five starters. _ 9. Note.— All horses nominating (ia local events) must have been in the district at least two monthß prior' to the data of the sports. They must also be the property of bona fide residents of the district, otherwise they will be disqualified. .' • | 10. The committee reserve the right | to alter the order in which the events will be run. , „_ .... ~ 11. The Rules of the N.Z. Athletic and Cycling Union, providing the maximum nomination and acceptance fees of 5 per cent, on total _ prize money, will be observed, anything m the above programme notwithstanding. Any fees exceeding that percentage will be returned. , 12. In horse events (handicaps), owners must send the past two years' performances (if any), and breeding (if possible.)
