MASTERTON - FRIDAY. (•Before Mr L. G. Reid, S.M.) BREACHES OF BY-LAWS. Arthur Jones /was charged with having kept a bowling alley in Queen Street without having a license for the same. Defendant did not appear: Mr Culleh.said that he had been instructed' to represent Jones. The latter had stated that he intended to be present and plead .not. guilty. His Worship inflicted a'fine of 20s and costs 7s. William Gibbons was charged with having driven a vehicle at night time without a light. A fine of 2s 6d and costs 7s was imposed. SEPARATION ORDER. A local resident applied for a separation order from her husband, and the custody of two children. Mr G. H. Oullen appeared for plaintiff, and Mr P. L. Hollings for defendant. : Mr Hollings stated that bis client was prepared to agree to. the* application. Mr Reid made an oi-der accordingly, two of the children to be given into the custody, of plaintiff and one to defendant. PROHIBITION ORDER. ' - An application for a prohibition order 'by consent was granted. The applicant was a resident of the Wairaiapa electorate. This is the second oider made in Masterton this month.
