DEPUTATION J CHANCELLOR. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) :. GISBORNE, Last Night. A deputation from the Gisborne High School Board waited on Sir Rob-, ert Stout, Chancellor of New Zealand' University, requesting that marks obtainable for history be raised with a view to encouraging the study of that subject. Sir Robert Stout said that he thought that in a democratic country such as New Zealand is, the study of history should be encouraged, and he promised to represent the matter to'the University Senate.
