LATE COMMERCIAL.
POXGAROA SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows:—At our Pongaroa sale on Thursday, stock came forward well up to advertised numbers, and our offering totalled 1717 sheep. The attendance of the public was good, and satisfactory competition took place for most of the lines offered. A fair number of aged ewejs came -under the hammer, and sufficient buyers were present to take Tip such sheep, at prices on a par with late rates. Wethers and good lambs wcro in demand and sold readily. Some of the principal sales were as follows: —2-tooth wethers, good condition, 13s; woolly lambs, 9s Id; medium lambs, 7s 2<]; small, 3s 9d to os; four-tooth ewes, medium, lis 3d to 12s tis; s.m. ewes, 9s 6d; store owes, 7s 2d to 8s Id; aged Hind inferior ewes, 5s to 6s.
