STORM IN A TEA-CUP.
[To The Editor.] Sir, — You are entitled to the thanks.of the community for defending the town against the charges made by the man in the street and the tittle-tattlers. I have lived in Masterton for this last' thirty years or more, and 'have visited other townships from time to time, and I am proud to think that our town, from a sanitary point of view,' compares favourably with most other townships. There are 'bound to be little defects in the most complete system; but why magnify these defects and create alarm when there is no necessity for it?—l am, etc., SANITATION.
