The Ahiaruhe annual sports meeting was held yesterday at Ahiaruhe, in fine weather. There was a good attendance of the public from the surrounding district, -and a largo number of competitors took part in •the various events, which in a number of cases were closely contested, j The points prize was won hy C. Elcrs, of Master-ton, who won the 100 yards, 220 yards, and tied for first place in the high jump, and was second iu the 440 yds and forced handicap.
