THE LITHGOW STRIKE
SETTLEMENT IN VIEW. Received This Morning, 12.10 o'clock. SYDNEY. March 13. It is unofficially stated that an agreement lias been reached between the Messrs Hoskins and the Executive of the Labour Council, on all matters in connection with the Lithgow dispute, except on the question of the unemployment of 'six men to whom the Unions object. Tlie agreement provides for the employment of all the imen who were engaged before the strike, including Cairs, whose dismissal was the original cause of the trouble, .and that men taken on since the dispute will be found employment elsewhere. A ballot at the men will be taken, and it is confidently stated that the end of the strike is in view.
