The track was in good order, and there was a large attendance. The totalisator investments were £12,231, as against £11,274 on the first day of last autumn meeting. Results:— _ Omaranui Hack Hurdles, 100 sovs., one mile and threequarters.— Merrie Lad 1, Seaman 2, Stourton Sf Also started— 'Fond Memory, Quandary, Mbtu/ Spaniard, Lady Edna, Fusilier. Won ..by six lengths. Time, 3 min. 19 2-osees. Esk Hack Handicap, of 90 sovs., 5 furlongs.— Makara 1 : Paiwamii 2, Throve 3. Also started.—.Elfish, ParkTide, Miss Augusta, Wee Rose, Ard Hakau, Eiya, Temerite, Waipola Goldfinch, First Marshall. Won by a good length, same distance between second and third.
