(Received Last. Night, 9.40 o'clock.)
PARTS, March 11
Evenden, an Englishman who knocked out Raphael Belli, a Frenchman, in a fight at Montmatre, after which Belli died, has been arrested. 'M. Lepine, Chief of Police, ordered his seizure in the ring, and has issued instructions practically prohibiting boxing in Franco. Matches must be mere exhibitions, and the inflicting of wounds is illegal. The issue of these instructions has created consternation in boxing circles in France.
