FINES FOR BREACHES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Last Night,, At the Magistrate's Court to-day, L. E. Mexted was convicted and ordered to pay costs, 7s, for failing to render service required under the Defence Act. , Joseph McCnrdle, on a similar • charge, was fined 20s and costs.
