Hail/secretary of the X.Z. 1 Agricultural Conference, fonvardeel a revised list of judges for show purposes, and asking for early recommendations of additional judges,— On the motion of the President, the matter was reI ferred to a sub-committee, consisting of Messrs C. ,F. Yallance, R. J. Pagg, \V. Perry. R. Gray, W. D. Watson, J. Strang and A. Donald. A letter was read from Mr Evans, shepherd for Mr li. D. Vavasour, of Marlborough, congratulating the Association upon the excellent arrangements made for handling, his show sheep.— Received. The secretary of the Dannevirke A. and P. Association acknowledged the information supplied, regarding the show ground. The question of the hiring of loose boxes by an exhibitor was referred to the Finance' Committee. The New Zealand Accident Insurance Company notified that an increase of one-eighth was being made in insurance premiums, owing to the extended liability under the new. Ace: —On the motion of Mr SummereJl, it was decided to pay the increased premium.

IMr W. R. Matheson, of Eketahuna, I ■wrote .suggesting that, .with a view to liquidating the liability on the new Showgrounds, each member make a ' contribution on, a pro rata basis, according to the area of his property. 'Mr Matheson included' a subscription of £1 4s Od.— The President did not think the proposal of Mr Matheson a practicable one.— It was decided to thank Mr Matheson for his contribution, and to acknowledge receipt of his .suggestion. i. .Several resignations were received, ! and six new members were elected. ) GROUND COMMITTEE.

The general opinion was expressed hy members that a sub-committee from each show .section should be appointed to draft suggestions for the conduct of the show and the revision of the schedule while the affairs of the past -show are fresh in the minds of Stewards ; also that marshal stewards be asked to report on the last show in their particular sections, and make recommeni dations. ,

FINANCE COMMITTEE.

The Finance Committee's report was I read. This showed receipts for the month amounting to? £1283 5s 4d, and an expenditure of £485 15s 7d. The debit balance at the bank at date was £29012s 4d. The secretary submitted a. statement of show accounts. This showed receipts amounting to £1854. Os 9d, and expenditure £1714 14s lid, leaving a balance to credit of" £139 os lOd. The ram fair account showed receipts amounting to £207 -!s, and expenditure £93 los od, leaving a. credit of £ll3 8s 7d. The luncheon account showed receipts £369 7s, and expenditure £363 4s 6d, leaving a credit of £6 2s 6d. Accounts totalling £IB6O 17s 5d were passed for payment. '
