WELLINGTON, Last NightThe Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this evening issued the following report:— The barometer has fallen low in the South, with strong westerly and south, erly winds. Much rain has fallen in the South, and cloudy and showery weather has prevailed, with thunderstorms in parts. Present indications are for wet and squally weather, heavy rain and thunderstorms in parts; high westerly winds veering to a southerly gale shortly. The (barometer Avill probably rise soon everywhere.
