To-day was the wettest of the sea-' son, two inches of rain having fallen in the last twenty-four hours, and was disastrous to farmers having grain in stook or ill-ibuilt stacks. The ground •was so saturated tlm+ the carting of threshed grain was put a stop to. There is. a good deal of grain in stook and a considerable quantity yet uncut.
