The athletic events will be run under the rules of the New Zealand Athletic Association. 2. Nominations close with the Secretaries oni Monday, March 18th, at 8 p.mi. . 3. Competitors in the athletio events must fiend in a list of performances for the past two years. If no wins for two years, marks of starts from previous events most be stated. 4. Acceptances and entrance fees for other eventtß close on the ground twenty minutes before each event. 5. No nominations will be accepted without the nomination fees. 6. Protests must be lodged with the secretary ten minutes after the race, accompanied by a fee of 2s 6d, which will be forfeited if the objection® are considered frivolous. Horse events 7. The committee reserve the right to postpone the .sports if the weather is unfavourable. 8. No first prize will be given unless there are three starters; no second ipriae unless five starters. # 9 Note.— All horses nominating (ia 'local events) must have been ,111 the district at least two months prior to the dato of the sports.
