Mesrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows: —The last wool sale of the 1911-12 season was heild on Tuesday, in the Town Hall. We offered a catalogue of 1330 bales out of a total offering of 3748 bales by all brokers. We were showing a good deal of lambs' wool as is usual at tihis time of the year, the remainder of our lots being mostly log-stained, dingy and seedy crossbred. There was a full attendance of home and continental buyers, and bidding was exceptionally brisk and competition keen. The market for medium and inferior erossbreds and lambs' wool was on a par with February salo rates. There was little wool suitable for America available, and the market oirt'hc small quantity offered showed a drop of about a Id. All good tiheep in ewes, wethers or lambs found a ready market at sound rates, but the culled classes were hard to quit. .However, at the close of the sx'.i: very few went out unsold. Lambs were' also in better demand, and some good sales were effected. We had a good yarding of cattle, and disposed of, our entry of 400 head at satisfactory prices.
