Motor Cycle Club's sports Iheld on l HdStin&ft b ILac&course on Boxing Day, the Triumphs again practically swept the board. Out of an entry of 12 machines representing 5 different makes the Triumphs secured ten firßts, seven seconds, and 4 thirds out of a possible elwep events, Thio is ail 1®R # "more remarkaole when it is considered flhat the Triumphs' uad to concede I'arge handicaps to machines of equaJ powor and six of the ten first maoniflies -were ridden by amateur rider®. On Saturday. December 30th, Mr J. L. Braithwaite left for Wellington on his Triumph motor cycle to make an attempt om the existing figures oJ the Wellington to Napier record---viz., Bhrs 35mm., established by Ma H L. Schaeffer on New Year's Day 1909, also on a Triumph. In spite o: several attempts on other makes a machines, thiß record has. stood to the credit of the Triumph for thr* years. Mr Brathwaite left the Wei Cgt» Post Office at 4.20 a.m. « NTew Year's Day, and arrived at tto Napier Post Office at 10.57 a.m., jbi time being 6hrs. 38min...
