(By Telegraph—Press Association.)

WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological. Office, this evening issued the following rep'ort:— The winds have moderated, and are veering to northerly in most parts of the country. An improvement has taken place in the weather, but rain has fallen to-day in the northern-most districts. The barometer has fallen everywhere. Present indications are for increasing northerly winds, generally warm and fair to cloudy weather, with rain shortly, in the northern and southernmost districts, and on the West Coast. The barometer will probably fall, and there are indications for a change following everywhere.
