RULES AND CONDITIONS. | 1. The athletic events will be run under the rules of the New Zealand Athletic Association. 2. Nominations close with the Secretaries om Monday, March 18th, at 8 p.m. 3. Competitors in the athletic events must send in a list of performances for the past two years. If no wins for two years, marks of starts from previous events must be stat4. Acceptances and entrance fees for other events olose on the ground twenty minutes before each event. 5. No nominations will he accepted without the nomination fees. 6. Protests must be lodged with the secretary ten minuteß after the race, accompanied by a fee of 2s 6d, which will be forfeited if the objections, are considered frivolous. Horse events 7i The committee reserve the right to postpone the .sports if the weatnar is unfavourable. 8. No first prize will be given unless there are three starters; no second prize unless five starters. _ 9. Note.— AH horses nominating (in local events) must have'been m the district at least two months prior io the dato of the sports. They must also be the property of bona fide residents of the district, otherwise they will be disqualified. < 10. The committee reserve the right to alteT the order in which, the events W n.%L Un ßules of the N.Z, Athletic and Cycling Union, providing the maximum nomination and acceptance fees of 5 per cent, on total prize money, will be observed, anything in the above programme notwithstanding.
