WAWCANUI RACES. SECOND DAY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI, Saturday. The autumn meeting of the Wanganui Jockey Club was brought to a conclusion on Saturday, when the sum of £2-5,662 was put through the machine, compared with £15,241 for the corresponding day last year. This brought the total for tho meeting to £-M5,44-l, an increase of £15,072 on the figures at the prevous meeting. Results:—
Autumn Handicap, one mile.—Lady Moutoa 1, Sea Queen 2, Red Lupin !J. Also started— Domino, Plantation, Rill, Kauroa, Montiforai, St. Felix, Golden Loop, Miscal and Mon Ami. Won by three-quarters of a length a length between second and third. Time, Imin. 43 1-osees. Matarawa Hack.— Aloha 1, St. Gate 2, Lady Volga 3. Scratched— Nukutau, Ohinee and Grandee. Time, lmin. 15 1-osecs.
Jackson Stakes, six furlongs.—Ermengarde 1, Royal Scotch 2, Autumnus 3. Scratched— Parawainii and Rangiatua. Time, lmin. 1.3 sees.
Fordell Hurdle Race, one mile rind throe-quarters.— Leolariter 1, Euroco 2, Reumac 3. Also started— Waiputere, Xavier, Waterworks, Bismarck. ■Won by a long neck. Time, 3min. 14 l-ssecs. .
Okoia Hack Hurdles, about one mile and five furlongs.— Darby Paul 1, Sandy Paul 2, Brilliancy 3. Also started. Allure, Seaman, Chase 'Mab, Sapience. Won by three lengths. Time, 3min. 3sec.
Wanganui Stakes, one mile and a half.— Dearest (B. Deeley) 1, Midnight Sun 2, Goodwin Park 3. Also started Undecided, CoromandeJ, Merrivonia, Lady Menschikoff, Jargon, St. Petersburg, and Uhlando. St. Petersburg fell. Won by a neck, a head separating second and third. Time, 2min. 37-sec. Harrison Hack Handcap, one mile —Fashion Plate 1, Bonnie Boy 2, Matlow 3. Also started— Mauawakaha, Merrio Emerald, Minora, Tiwari, Leonta, Grandee, Alma Rose. Won by two lengths. Time, lmin. 58 3-ssees.
