Head and shoulder target.— Pumell, .AVanganui, and Mayhew, Feilding, £3 10s each, 28, with five bull'* eyes each; Morgan, Auckland; Halliday, Karon; Bolk, 7th Regiment, and Bruimmmd <\Yestport), £1 4s each, 28. with four bull's-eyes each. Attack Match, tOOycks, 300 yds and 200 yds, three shots.— Russell Petone', £-4, -1-1, with seven bull's-eyes; Boleyn, Charlton, £:5, 40, with four (bull's-eyes; Rande!!, Linton, £2, 35, with five bull's eyes. Masefield, Sounds, 173; P. Jamas, 168; R. Duthie, 167; R. J. King, 106. H. 11. King, 164. The Running Man Competition will not be completed till AVodnesday. ACCIDENT ON THE RANCE.
During the firing in the Moving Target Match, Gunner AVatkins, R.N. Z.A., one of the markers, was struck and injured by a low shot, -which .struck the mound, arid-cither a stone, or the nickel case of the bullet, struck his .shoulder, inflicting a painful) wound. First aid was rendered bv Captain A. Merrilecs, one of the competitors, and a doctor was at once telephoned for, in the unavoidable ab■sence of Dr Pvirdie, who makes a daily visit to the camp. AVatkins was' afterwards removed, to the barracks for further examination. Tho butt at which the accident happened had been overhauled by the Public Works Department just before' tho meeting, and the point at which the accident i took place was a foot above the regulation height. An official board of enquiry took evidence, and a report was forwarded to headquarters in the afternoon.
TO-feAY'S programme. This morning the Belt scries, in which the Ballinger Champion Belt forms the principal trophy, will 'he commenced. The first event will be the Auckland Match at 300 and 500 yards, Wellington Match at 500 and 600 yards being fired in tho -afternoon.
