| LAND SALES. (By Telegraph--Tress Association.) 'FTMAEU, Last Night. Tho major portion of Mr A. iS. Elworthy's Holm station estate of 3579 acres, divided into 14 farms cf from 100 acres to 100 acres, were, submitted to auction to-day. Tho aalo room was crowded, but no sales were effected, only one or two lots obtaining bids. Tho auctioneers stated .that the farms must bo sold, and will soon go privately. LONDON WOOL SALES. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, report having received the following cable through their London office, dated February 29th: —Owing to the coal strike the wool sales have been postponed indefinitely. LONDON MARKETS. ' Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from heir London Office, dated February 2?) th :—Frozen meat: Lamb: Demand is poor. Prices arc- dull. Quotations: Canterbury heavy and light, ssd; North Island heavy and light, s£d. Mutton: Demand is poor. Prices are dull. Quotations: North Island, heavy 39d ; light, 4d. Tallow:—Prime, quality is easier. Other descriptions are unchanged. MABTLVBOROCTGH STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., re- | port on their Martinborough sale as follows: —A very heavy yarding of all classes of sheep came forward, and prices throughout were well maintained. The whole of our entry, with tho exception of one pen, was disposed of,; at satisfactory prices to vendors.
