THE VICTORIOUS TRIUMPH. WONDERFUL. £,F,GORD OF SUOCESSES ON TRIUMPH MOTOR OTOLES. At the H.B. Motor Cycle Club's sports (held 011 the Hastings Racecourse on Boxing Day, the Triumphs again practically swept the board. Out of an entry of 12 machines representing 5 different .makes the Triumphs secured ten firsts, seven seconds, and 4 thirds out of a possible eleven events. ; This performance is all the more remarkaole when it is considered tihat the Triumphs had to concede targe handicaps to machines of equal power and six of the ten first machines were ridden by amateur riders. On Saturday, December 30th, Mr J. L. Braithwaite left for Wellington on his Triumph motor cycle to majte an attempt on* the existing figures /of the Wellington, to Napier recordviz., Bhrs 35min., established by Mr H. L. Schaeffer on New Year's Day, 1909, also on a, Triumph. In spite of several attempts on other makes of machines', this record has stood to the credit of the Triumph for three years. Mir Brathwaite left the Wellington Post Office at 4.20 a.m. on New Year's Day, and arrived at the Napier Poet Office at 10.57 a.m., Ms time .being Glits. 38min., I'owertmg the previous accord by nearly two hours. The Tri.urr.pb ran perfectly from start to finish, the only two stops being to take in petrol and oil. It is on.lv perfect machines made from t'he finest material procurable that can average 33J miles an hour over 230 milesi of New Zealand roads.

Those who were at the Napier Post Office at the finish couTd not help but remark on the perfect condition of the machine at the finish. The Triumph is not only made for speed. It tins proved itself to he the machine (hard work and long wear, and is perfectly adapted to New Zealand roads.
