WELLINGTON LAND BOARD.
| MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Wellington Land Board was held on Thursday, Commissioner Mackenzie presiding. TRANSFERS AND SUB-LEASES. Mrs M. M. Lelievro applied to •transfer Section 24, Block IX., Mangahao, 205 acres, to Mr D. F. Cole. Mr C. E. Lelievre also applied to transfer section 12, Block IX., Maugahao, 238 acres, to Mr D. F. Cole, and it was resolved to approve both transfers. j Mr A. B. Andersen applied to sub-' let Section 14, Block XIII., Mangahao, 200 acres, to Mr A. H. Cox for a term at a rental not stated. was resolved to approve of a sub-lease on the usual conditions for a reasonable term, and on equitable conditions, to be approved by the Commissioner.
Mr John Beech applied to sub-let 180 acres of Section 20, Block I, Mangaone, 200 acres, to Mr F. H. Caseby, for 4-J- yeans, at a rental of £ll2 10s.— It was resolved to approve on the usual conditions. With regard to the transfer of Section 96, 5 and 6, Block X, Mikimiki, 371 acres 0 roods 29 perches, to Mr A. Johnson, the .Commissioner informed the board that a previous ap-> plication to transfer to Mr G. S: Matthews had been approved, but had not been proceeded with, and the solicitors for the parties now stated that they were unable to find Mr Matthews in order to obtain his signature to the withdrawal of that application.— It was resolved, under the circumstances, to withdraw the Board's consent to the transfer to Mr Matthews, as it was not registered within the time allowed by the Board's regulations.
Mr W. Larsen and Mr C. F. Larsen applied to transfer Section 49, Block VII, Tararua, 200 acres, to Mr O. F. Larsen. It was resolved to approve on the usual conditions. Mr F. J. Kent applied to transfer Section 21, Block 11, Puketoi, 537 acres, to Mr Walter Larsen.— It was resolved to approve on the usual conditions, hut subject to the transfer of Section 49, Block VII, Tararua, being' first completed. Mr J. Smith applied to transfer section 14, Mangahao, Pahiatua V.S., 6 acres 0 roods 6 poles, to Mr P. Beichenbach.— It was resolved to decline, as the proposed transfer.ee is not eligible under the regulations. A report was received from the Crown Lands Ranger on the proposed transfer of Sections 19 and 20, Block IV., Mt. Cerberus, 400 acres, from Mr B. de Malmanche to Mr S. Sargent, and also of Education Reserve, section 14, Block XI, Makuri, 516 acres to Mr S. Sargeant.—lt was resolved to approve on the usual conditions, under the circumstances. I
Mr F. L. and O. J. H. Vette applied to transfer section",'B, Block IV, Tararua, 200 acres, to -Mr 6. J. H. Vette only.— It was resolved to approve on the usual conditions, and provided the proposed transferee is eligible and suitable. Mr T. A. Morine.attended-and applied to transfer Srcticn 16", Block XI, Makuri, 300 acres, u, Mr W: T< Keddell. —li; was resolved to approve. The executors of the late E. E. S. Marsh apDlied to transfer Sections 23 and 26, Aohanga, 4.00 acres* to Messrs R. and T. Sr.merville.— It was resolved to approve on the usual conditions, provided the proposed transferees are eligible and suitable. Mr James Page applied to transfer Section 18, Block IV, Tararua, 200 acres, to Mr A. Davidson.— It was resolved to approve. The Registrar in the Supreme Count for. the mortgagee in the estate of J. J. Sorensen applied to transfer sections 22 and 23, Block X, Aohanga, 400 acres, to Mrs 0. L. O'Meara.—lt was resolved to approve on the usual conditions, and provided the provisions of Section 84 (1) (c) of the Land Act, 1.908, are complied with. RESIDENCE. Mr F. H. Dowden renewed his application for exemption from residence ou section 41, Nireaha V.S., for a further period of 12 months. If the Board cannot see its way to relieve him of residence altogether so long as he resides in his present location.— It was resolved to adhere to the previous resolution. GENERAL. The Featherston County Council submitted proposals for the expendi-
ture of accrued thirds amounting to £36 15s oil.— Approved subject to investigation by the ranger. A, report was received from the Crown Lands Ranger on the proposal by Mr A. E. Hooker, lessee of section 20, Block 11, Tiffin, Carrington Settlement, that he be allowed to takea third white crop from the 15 acres referred to by him.— It was resolved to approve the request under. the circumstances.
With regard to Mr S. W. Smith, whose lease of Small Grazing Run 139 and 212, Block VJII, Kopuaranga, expired on February 29th, 1912, it was resolved to grant him a permit to occupy it temporarily for one year from that date at a rent of £lO2 6s per annum. A report was received from the Crown Lands Ranger giving his appraisement on the capital value of Section 22, Block VI, Aohanga was resolved to advise the lessee, Mrs Louisa Larsen, accordingly. ,The Crown Lands Ranger forwarded his appraisement with the capital value of Sections 17 and 17a, Block VII, Aohanga, 301 acres 2 roods 21 perches.— It was resolved to forward, the same to -the lessee, Mr J. C. Roadley. With regard to Mr F. H. White's renewed application for Sections 13 and 14, Langdale Suburbs, it was resolved to make a fresh recommendation in .terms of the resolution passed on October 26th, 1911. ' With regard to (national endowment) and 34 Crown land, Block VII, Makuri, it wast resolved to empower the Commissioner to deal with the question of allotting these lands to the. adjoining owners under such sections of the Land Act as lie may see fit at the following prices:— Section 32", 135s per acre; 33, 30s per acre; 34, 30s per acre.
