Williams, Ltd., report on their Johmsoirvillc sale , as follows: —A good yarding of sheep and cattle came forward, and sold at late rates. Prime heavy bullocks, £9 17s Gd to £lO 10s; lighter, £0 to U 7s Gd; light, £B'to £8 10s; extra prime lieaivy wethers, 18s; good wethers. 16s 6d ; medium, 15s; medium owes, 12s lid to 13s; light 12s to 12s 3d; plain, lis 6d; medium lambs, lis | 9d; plain, lis to lis 3d. HATJTOJARA CATTLE SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams. Ltd , report on the Hautotara cattle sale held this week at the station., ' Martiniborough, in conjunction with Messrs Murray Roberts and Co., Ltd. The cattle were mustered in excess of advertised numbers, a total of exactly sixteen hundred 'being submitted to .auction.,• excluding, of course, all calves .ru wring with the cows. Taken all round, they were well-drafted and in first-class condition:, the public making complimentary remarks on the quality throughout. The attendance was very satisfactory, but not so large as at the sheep sale held a fortnight previous. Buyers were, however, present from all .pants, and a most successful salo has to be recorded. PAHIATUA SHEEP FAIR, j Messrs Abraham and Williams' Ltd., report as follows: —We offered on the 27th inst. an exceptionally heavy yarding of sheep, advertised numbers being exceeded, and over 17,000 came under the hammer. The yarding comprised the annual drafts of clients,'and the quality throughout was well aibovo the average, the bulk > of the sheep being of really good quality, especially the. 4 and 5-year old ewes. A good clearance was made, over 11,000 sheep changing hands, a large number of which went to the Wairnrapa and Manawatu. The attendance was extra large, and bidding under the hammer was keen, from the start, the bulk of tho entry soiling hy auction. MASTERTON STOCK SALE. The. New Zealand Loan, and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows on their Mastertou stock sale hold in the Sol way yards yesterday:— We offered a fair average yarding of sheep of all classes, the hulk of the entry being of inferior or culled sorts, and rates obtained were in keeping with the sheep, and fully up to then values. Cattle entries were confined to dry cows and young growing steers, ■both of which met with good enquiry, and sold freely at sound prices. Good sound ewes made Us Gd; aged ewes in good condition, 7s Gd to 9s; culls, 5s to Gs; small wethers, 10s 3d; best woolly lambs,, up to 10s 3d; others, 6s 1 to Gs Gd ; shorn, good, up to 8s; rams: 2-tooth Lin coins, £2 to £3 3s; RomH to 2gns ; Leicesters, £ to 2gns, dry cows, £2 10s to £3 7s Gd; young steers 18-moniths. £3 8s; small calves, 21s. WAIPOUA SALEYARDS. Messrs' James Macintosh and Co. report having held their usual weekly sale yesterday, when they offered a yarding well above advertised numbers, of both, cattle and' sheep. There was a gocd attendance, but bidding was rather slow, especially for lambs. Good ewes and wethers were well com- ■' peted for. Cattle sold well up to sale rates.
