DISTRICT CORONER.

The District Coroner for the Wairarapa (Mr J. T. M. Hornsby) having taken up his permanent abode at Petone, the matter of his successor will require to be dealt with by the Government. In this connection it an ay be well to state that Mastertou is the police headquarters of the district, and the centre of the coronial •territory. It is desirable, therefore, that the District Coroner should reside in this town. We trust that, when the new appointment is made, the Government will not overlook these important facts.
