RULES AND CONDITIONS. 1. The athletic events will be ran under the rules of the New Zealand Athletic Association. 2. Nominations close with the Secretaries oui Monday, March, 18th, at 8 p.m. , 3. Competitors in the athletic events must send in a list of performances for the past- two years. If no wins for two years, marks of starts from previous events must v be stat4. Acceptances and entrance fees for other eventts olose on the ground twenty minutes before each event. 5. No nominations will be accepted without the nomination fees. 6. Protests must be lodged with the secretary ten minutes after the rape, accompanied by a fee of 2s 6d, which will be forfeited if the objections are considered frivolous. Horse events • 7. The committee reserve the right to postpone the .sports if the weather is unfavourable. 8. No first prize, will be given unless there are three starters; no second (prize unless five starters. _ 9. Note.— All horses nominating (in local events) must have been in the ddstrict at least two months prior to the dafc- of the sports. They must also be the property of bona fide residents of the district, otherwise they will be disqualified. 10. The committee reserve the right to alter the order in which the events We Rules of the N.Z Athletic and Cycling Union, providing the maximum nomination and acceptance fees of 5 per cent, on total prize monev, -will be observed, anything m the above programme notwithstanding. Any fees exceeding that percentage will be returned. 12. In ljorse events (handicaps), owners must send the past two years' performances (if any), ana breeding (if possible.)
