MEDICAL CONGRESS
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) TIMARU, Last Night. The annual congress of the New Zealand branch of the Medical Association has concluded. Papers and discussions on technical and political subjects, including the relations of the profession to societies and chemists, wero all takeen in committee. I>r Valintino met the congress, and made a statement regarding the relations of the Department to the profession, which he regarded as satisfactory. Members say that the congress has been a very great success, and they have enjoyed their visit to Timaru. A collection taken in town yesterday, for the Ambulance Brigade (towards the cost of a hall and general), realised £145, which is about the same as last year. Country collections arc not yet returned.
