WALFISCH BAY
PROPOSED GERMAN NAVAL BASE. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) LONDON, February 24. English newspapers are commenting upon the persistent demands of the German Press for Walfish Bay, in south-west Africa, for a large seaport naval base in. 'Connection with Hie Capo railways, together with Sir Edward Grey's vague statement on the matter on Thursday last. They state that there can be no concession of territory belonging to a ing Dominion without the latter's consent.
