BUSINESS CHANGES
MR L. S. NICOL. It is always pleasing to he able to record the progress of young New Zealanders in the commercial world. It is, therefore, with satisifaetion that the many friends of Mr L. S. Nicol will learn that he has acquired the business with which he has for so many years been identified, that of 'Mr F. J. Dupre, watchmaker and jeweller, Masterton. Mr Nicol has been connected with the watchmaking and jewellery business for about 13 years ,a large portion of which time has T)een spent with Mr Ihipre. The new proprietor has also the advantage of having acquired a business training in the larger spheres, having held for some time a responsible position with the firm of Messrs Shrewe and Co., wholesale and retail jewellers, San Francisco. In addition, he has also been in touch with leading establishments in the Old Country and New York. This experience will no doubt enable him to cater for the trade in a. manner in keeping with the conduct of a modern jewellery store. Mr Nicol intends following on the same enterprising lines of his predecessor, and trusts by strict'attention to all essential details of the business, to merit the support of the public.
