AMUSEMENTS THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.
A well selected programme of the world's best in cinematograph reproduction was screened last evening, before a crowded house at the Foresters' Hall. The pictures shown embraced all manner of subjects, and succeeded in pleasing all beholders. "Nature Studies at the Zoo" provided some excellent views of animals and birds which are-strange to • this • land. A film of the wondrous scenery in North Wales was highly appreciated. "The House that Jack Built" was an interesting adaptation of that popular nursery rhyme, and was heartily applauded. "Dad's Girls" and "A Miser's Heart" were both excellent productions, and "The Run oa the Bank" was a cleverly thought out little drama which brought the house down. The comics were a good lot indeed, "Soldiers Three" heading the list with peals of hearty laughter at the comicalities of the trio who had their clothes removed whilst swimming. "Stubb's New Servant" and "Auntie and. the Cowboys" made up a good selection. This excellent production of photographic gems will be repeated to-night.
