An interesting point with reference to employment under awards was determined in the Magistrate's Court this morning. ,A freezing works employee; left on Thursday without notice, and the wages earned to that day were stopped. TTie Inspector of Aavards proceeded against the freezing company for a breach of the award, and a £lO penalty. Mr Barton, S.M., held that no breach of the award had been committed.
