LABOUR IN POLITICS.
.Discussing the political situation with a representative of the "Age" yesterday, a prominent member of the Federation of Labour in Master-
ton .said (hat things wcro very mixed, so far as Labour was concerned, just now. There were three Labour newspapers in the Dominion, each representing different factions, and each .pretending to voice the opinion of the worker. The politics of each of these were as far apart as the poles. The supposed Labour representatives in Parliament are without cohesion. One is a Socialist, pure and simple. Another represents the Labour Party. A third is connected with the Federation of Labour. The fourth is an Independent Labourite. Asked if there was any hope of the various factions uniting, the Labour FederationiSu said he could not see the slightest hope at present.
