BELLE CROME COMPANY.

The popularity of the variety en-j tertainment with Masterton audiences was displayed last night, when the large number present showed their approval of the Belle Crome Company by frequent demonstrations of apnlause* Since this Company lastvisited us they have secured a number of new artists, who were introduced for the first "time to Masterton playgoers. The marvellous music and intellectual force, of-'this; talented company is displayed at its best in the rendering of the musical handbells. A vocal overture by the Company entitled "Cherry Blossom Time," was well received, as also were the contributions by Reggiardo, the prince of cannon ball and heavy weight juggling. The soprano of the company has a sweet, clear voice, and her rendering of Gounod's "Serenade" showed that she is a finished artist. Her remaining pieces were capably sung. Mr Llewellyn, a baritone soloist with a dee]), cleatvoice, was vociferously encored. 'The comedian, Mr 18. Reis, established himself a favourite with those present, and Messrs Morris and Wilson gave a first appearance here ill one of their popular comedy acts. The company will appear in the Town Hall again this evening, and the last performance will be given on Friday. A bumper house should re-ward them this evening.
