DARING ROBBERY
£3OOO WORTH OF JEWELLERY STOLEN THIEVES ESCAPE IN TAXI-CAP. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.') 'NEW YORK, Feb. 17. Two men jumped from a taxi-crtb and entered a jeweller's shop in Warden Lane, New York, and alter assaulting the jeweler, da-shed off with a large amount of booty, valued at £3OOO. Robberies are so numerous that ■business men are applying for permission to carry revolvers.
