CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

MEETING OF COUNCIL. The monthly meeting of the Council of t-lie Masterton Chamber of Commerce was held on Friday afternoon, in Murray's Hall, there hemp; present,— Messrs A. Henderson (chairman), D. M. Graham, J. Caseliberg, V. Donald, J. B. Keith, J. Brown, G. 0. Summer ell and G. H. Perry. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs W. E. Chamberlain, G. W. Seller, and J, B. Moodie. The Treasurer reported a credit balance at date of £l2 3s 9d. ' Correspondence in reference to the train service was read and dealt with, and the> meeting adjourned. QUARTERLY MEETING. Tho quarterly meeting of the Chamber was subsequently held, Messrs ft. Brown and W. B. Ohennells being present in addition to those already mentioned - Tlie report v of the sub-committee set up to investigate the-.,prospects of establishing the fruit industry in the Wairarapa was read and -adopted.
