THE PRICE OF MUTTON
A SUBSTANTIAL FALL. The unwelcome news has been received by cable in Masterton that a fall has occurred in the mutton and lamb, market, which represents about a farthing a pound all round. This is due to tho fact that heavy shipments from 'New Zealand, Australia and the Argentine have reached London, or are on the water. The latest cable states that buyers have retired from the market. This will mean a severe blow to a number of freezing companies in New iZealand, and will probably result in, an immediate drop in the prices offered for mutton and lamb.
