NEW ZEALAND FORECAST (By Telegraph — Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this evening issued the following rep'ort:— .Strong westerly, winds veering to southerly are reported everywhere. Rain- has fallen in most parts of the country. The barometer has risen considerably in the South, but has had a falling tendency in the North. forecast:— Present indications are for high southerly to south-easterly winds, with cold and damp weather generally. Heavy rain is probable on the East Coast, and heavy showers generally, with rising barometer everywhere soon. The weather is likely to clear up about Saturday morning in most parts, of the country.
