MUCH EVIDENCE COLLECTED. VARIOUS VIEWS. (Received Last Night, 8.45 o'clock.) ADELAIDE, February 14. The' -New South Wales Totalisator Commission has collected a large quantity of evidence. The President of the Young Men's '"'hristian Association opposedI*the 1 *the machine on the moral grounds that it tempted men to gamble, where otherwise they would not. The President of .the Jockey Club and the; Chairman of the Racing Club strongly supported the machine. The latter claimed that it encouraged clean and fair sport, "and the prosperous condition of racing was largely due to (the- totalisator.
