THE POST "TIP."
The "Evening Post" thinks- there is a surprise in store at the opening of Parliament to-morrow, and that the i Government will announce such a : bold, policy that all tho Labour members will forget their pledges and rush to the feet of Sir Joseph Ward. If this very unlikely contingency should arise, the "Post" considers the voting will be equal, and that the Speaker will- give his casting vote in favour of the Government. We say this is an unlikely contingency, ibecause have tho personal and unequivocal assurance of one of the Labour members that he is notgoing back upon his pledges, and that lie is determined to vote to oust Sir Joseph Ward at all costs. Nothing will convince us that the member for Wanganui will break his pledge, no matter what the others may do. And, if ho does not ibreak his pledge, the Government must go out.
