THE NEW SITE SECURED. Ib will be a source of gratification to residents of Masterton to learn that the "VVe'lington Acclimatisation Society has decided to accept the terms of the Trust Lands Trust for the lease of a site in Pownall Street for fishponds. The site is an ideal one for the purpose, and with its natural advantages is capable of being _ converted into a beauty spot that residents, might bo justly proud of. In conversation with an "Age" reporter yesterday, Mr J. Miller, Curator, stated that the site comprised about ten acres. Tlio present lease had "about 18 months, to run, and the season at the hatcheries, which- was just commencing, would not' finish until about next November.
