The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on their Eketalmniai sale on Friday as follows:—We submitted a fair yarding of both sheep and cattle to a, large attendance of buyers. Bidding under tlio hammer was dull, but we managed to quit .most of.,the entry. Quotations Ciill cwete, 3s,to 4s, 6d; -la'niibs,;ss'6d to 7s; 20-months steers, £4^ls,to £4 l'Osj : fdrvfird-cows, -£4 10sto.£4 18s. Messrs Balgety .and Co., Ltd., report as follows:—A good yarding of sheep aad a, medium entry of cattle were offered to a good attendance of buyers. Practically all lines changed hands at late rates. Good quality young ewes and wethers are in good demand. Quotations :—F.f.m. ewes. 8s to 9s 6d j 6-tooth. ewes, to 12s; 2 and 4-tooth ewes, 10s .to lis 6d; 2tooth wethers, 8s lid to 12s 3d; lambs, good, 8s to 1 9s 8d; lambs, medium, 6s 3d to 6s 9d; larntbs, culls, 2s Mto 4s 3d; 3-year -bullocks, £5 7s 6d to £5 15s; 2-year steers, £4 10s to £4 15s; cows and calves, £4; yearlings, £3 j weaners( 32s 6d.
