Mr F. Symesi, manager of the Bank of New Zealand, Eketahuraa, has been transferred to Bulls. He will be succeeded by Mr Hannah, of New Plymouth.

Mr Muir, of the Auckland Herald stair", has been appointed editor of the Paihiatua Herald in succession to Mr Sligo. .A London cable, received last night, announces tho death of Professor Andrew Martin'Faii-brother, Principal of the Mansfield College, Oxford. For the next three months, the Rev. T. G. Butler will be in charge of the Masterton Congregational Church. Their Excellencies Lord and Lady Islington are to be invited to be present at the Masterton A. and P. Association's show next week. Mr Fred. Renall, of Auckland, is at present on a visit to Masterton. Sir Joseph Ward, Bart., has informed the Masterton A. and P. Association thait his Parliamentary duties will not permit him to be present at next week's show.

At the meeting of the Committee of the Masterton A. and P. .Association on Saturday -last, the President welcomed back Mr John Strang, who recently returned from a visit to the Old Country, and expressed the hope that lie would long be spared to take part in the .active work of the Association (applause.) Mr Strang briefly acknow. ledged the welcome.
